KMRF’s purpose
A spirit of service.
A Sufi foundation.
KMRF’s work draws inspiration from Hazrat Khwaja Mozammel Hoque (R:) and the teachings of the Holy Quran. Sadka-E-Zaria, or continuing charity, is central to that purpose.
KMRF seeks Allah’s pleasure through service to people in distress. Through livelihood support, scholarships and health work, KMRF gives that intention a practical form: capital to work with, recognition for students and access to medical care. These words come from KMRF’s own address on its purpose at the 2024 medical camp in Srimangal.
The three programmes answer different needs, yet they belong to one purpose. See each programme below.

A willingness to help.

If we set aside our small self-interests and give a little priority to the legitimate interests of others, it will not cause me any harm. 'No, brother, it is all right. I need the same thing too, but today your need is greater. You take it; I can take mine later.' We can gradually develop this self-sacrificing tendency.
We can help our parents in between our other work. May we feel sorrow at others' suffering and joy in their legitimate happiness. If someone is in trouble, may we extend a helping hand. May I develop the willingness to step forward and help with whatever is within my means.

At KMRF’s 2023 scholarship gathering, Chairman Khwaja Tipu Sultan spoke about caring for others in everyday life: helping parents, sharing another person’s sorrow or legitimate happiness, and offering help with the means available.
He illustrated that spirit with a simple exchange. Two people need the same thing; one recognises that the other’s need is greater and is willing to wait.

Assalamu alaikum. My name is Abdul Hannan. My home is in Khakkanda, Matlab Uttar, Chandpur, Cumilla [place wording unclear]. I was in considerable financial difficulty.
After receiving two goats from the Khwaja Mozammel Hoque (R:) Foundation, my situation has improved somewhat. These goats are mine.

In a shaded yard, Abdul Hannan handles green fodder beside his goats. Speaking to the camera, he recalls a period of financial difficulty and the two goats he received from the foundation.
After receiving two goats, he says, his situation has improved somewhat. He shares that experience beside the animals he now tends.

Medical Camp 2024
A day of care in Srimangal.
At KMRF’s 2024 medical camp in Srimangal, people met doctors, discussed their health concerns and received medicines. Participants spoke about the explanations they were given and how they were treated.
