Health Support

Poverty and unemployment in poor countries often prevent people from accessing medical care. Many lack education and information, making it difficult to understand how to prevent or cure diseases or take care of themselves. High mortality rates in developing countries result from unawareness of deadly diseases and limited access to medical care.

In Bangladesh, where the GDP per capita is about US$2,700 and health expenditure is approximately 2.3% of GDP, a citizen spends only about US$54 per year on healthcare. This amount is insufficient for citizens to afford basic medical services, let alone consult qualified doctors or purchase necessary medicines. Moreover, rural areas in Bangladesh often lack adequate healthcare facilities.

To promote healthcare, KMRF operates two medical centers where renowned doctors provide prescriptions and follow-up consultations completely free of charge. One center is located in Shyamoli, Dhaka, and the other in Mohazerabad in Sreemangal Upazila. This initiative adheres to the teachings of the Holy Quran, which emphasize compassion, charity, and caring for those in need. By offering free medical services, KMRF embodies these principles, helping to improve the well-being of the community.

The Government of Bangladesh has set a priority to education in the agenda of national development by launching mass literacy programs for eradication of large-scale
